Abiotic Factors:
Physical or nonliving factors that shape ecosystems are called Abiotic Factors. For an example, the climate of an area includes abiotic factors such as temperature, precipitation, and humidity. Other abiotic factors are wind, sun, water, soil type, fire and air. For an example a rabbit is affected by abiotic factors when it comes to finding a place to hide from predators and the outdoor climate for survival. Together, biotic and abiotic factors determine the survival and growth of an organism and the productivity of the ecosystem in which the organism lives.
