Biotic Factors:
The biological influences on organisms within an ecosystem are called Biotic Factors. This includes the entire living cast which an organism might interact including birds, grass, mushrooms, and bacteria. In other words, the ecological community. Biotic factors that influence a snake for example might include the tiny insects and animals it eats. An eagle would eat the snake, and other species that compete with the snake for food or space would also effect its way of living.
